About me

Kia ora, Ko Aroha tōku ingoa

As a self-taught artist based in Otautahi Christchurch. My artwork draws from my Māori and Scottish ancestry, shaped by stories, whakapapa and landscapes which reflect not just where I come from but the journey I have created through resilience, culture and creativity.

I often begin with a photograph, snapshot of people, places and moments, they are my starting point. From there I blend in my own style (which is ever evolving) feeling my way through the process and letting my intuition guide each brushstroke. My mahi is more than just image making, it's a deeply spiritual practice rooted in connection, healing and truth.
Each piece I make bridges my physical world with the stories within.
